Columbus, Ohio (sometimes called CBUS by those in the know) was hailed as "one of the places to visit" this year by The New York Times. This city of nearly 900,000 has something for everyone, from a trip to The Book Loft in German Village or a walk along the Scioto Mile or a visit to the Columbus Museum of Modern Art. It is also a food town, and our conference hotel is within walking distance of several excellent eateries. Plus, there is free downtown transportation on COTA's CBus, traveling from the Brewery District through Downtown to the Short North and back again. CBUS runs every 10-15 minutes, 7 days a week! This page has a few suggestions for your time in Columbus, but we encourage you to explore and find what else you can discover.

One of the most relevant areas for our conference is definitely The Short North Arts District. Home to over 300 businesses, mostly of them locally owned and operated, this section of town (within one-half mile of our hotel) even has its own Art Trail, with over thirty murals, public art installations, and galleries. (We admit we hesitate to advertise it, as you might never come back to the conference.)
North Market
This one-stop emporium has it all, from doughnuts to pho to bubble tea. It's a short walk from the hotel, and if you stop one place this week, make it here.

Pins Mechanical
Looking for some duckpin bowling, or some foosball, or some pinball. Then this joint is the place to go.

The Coffee Trail
We know how important coffee is, and so does Columbus. There's even a coffee trail, so follow along, or just pick a spot or two and sample a cup.

Topiary Park
Try this: it's a landscape of a painting of a landscape. Yes, Georges Seurat's A Sunday Afternoon on the Isle of La Grande Jatte is rendered in detail on the grounds.
